Working and Painting with Collage with Annie Sylling
This class runs for two sessions so that your collage can dry before we apply paint.
Dates: Friday April 30th & Saturday May 1st
Times: Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday 11 am – 2 pm
Cost: $55 for SASi Members and $60 for Non-members.
Skill Level: Beginning to Intermediate (knowledge of color mixing will be helpful)

First session – Collaging: Friday April 30th from 6-8 pm (2 hours) Using different papers/cut-outs, Layout and pasting. If students have extra time they can work on their drawing.
Second Session – Painting: – Saturday May 1st from 11 am to 1 pm (3 hours) Underpainting, subject outline and subject painting.
Supply List: Materials list for students to bring are:
photo references/picture/sketch for subject matter
drawing paper or sketch book, pencil
transfer paper
12×16 or 14×18 Canvas
transparent gel medium
assorted papers (book pages, sheet music, scrapbook pages, tissue paper, etc.)
Soft bodied (fluid) Acrylic paints
inks (optional)
assorted paint brushes (including a good stiff brush for collage application)
acrylic medium (optional for more transparent layers)
spray bottle
paper towels
container for water
