We will take in artwork Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 10 am until 6 pm, and again Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 10 am until 6:30 pm

ELIGIBILITY: All work Must be Your Original Creation (not under copyright by another artist) and completed within the last two years. Artwork must remain the duration of the exhibit. This is a judged exhibit. All entries will be displayed unless they do not meet the criteria specified below. Art must be presented in a professional manner. Inadequately prepared art or artwork requiring special installation may be declined.
FEE: (non-refundable) $20 members, $25 non-members, for two entries.
Additional entries $5 each for members, $10 each for non-members (5 total).

SALES and PRICING: Southern Arts Society (SASi) will retain 30% Commission from all sales by Members, and 40% from all sales by Non-members. Artists will be paid for
work sold following the close of exhibition. Work may be listed not for sale.

SPECIFICATIONS: All work must be original, completed within the last two years. Painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel), drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, mixed media and fiber are eligible. Two-dimensional work is restricted to 48″ by 48″ including frame. (Larger work may be accepted depending on gallery space.) Works on paper (including photography) must be framed and protected by glass or Plexiglas. All work must be properly framed or gallery wrapped (sides properly finished), and wired for hanging. Mats must be neat and clean (no signatures or titles on the mat). Fiber art must be ready to hang, with rod supplied by the artist. Three-dimensional work is limited to 2’x2′ of floor space, less than 6′ tall and weigh less than 50 lbs. Three-D work Must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly mounted for hanging. The following will NOT be accepted: wet paint or inks, reproductions, giclees, or copies. Unacceptable framing includes: clip frames, saw-tooth hangers, staples, string or tape.

PICK UP OF ART: Artwork must be picked up on the scheduled date. Artwork left beyond 30 days will become property of Southern Arts Society.

LIABILITY: Southern Arts Society (SASi) accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage of artwork. Concerned artists should provide their own insurance coverage. SASi reserves the right to decline any works that do not meet our standards or specifications and to withdraw any work from the exhibition at its discretion. SASi reserves the right to photograph, video, and reproduce any entry submitted for educational, marketing, or publicity purposes. Entry in the exhibition constitutes agreement by the artist to all conditions in this prospectus.

AWARDS: 1st Place – $200; 2nd Place – $150; 3rd Place – $75; Merit Awards (3) – $50 each

SCHEDULE: Deliver Art Sat Mar 30, 11 am – 4 pm, Sun Mar 31, 1 – 4 pm
No Late entries will be accepted. Please deliver art on scheduled dates.
Reception: April 13 (Saturday) 6 – 8 pm ~ Awards Presented at 7:00 pm
Exhibit Dates: April 5 thru May 17, 2018
Pick up work: Sat May 18, 10 am – 4 pm (gallery hours)

 Artworks in Colored Pencil Exhibit

January 8 – February 8, 2019

A public reception will be held Sunday January 13, 2019 from 2-4 pm to meet the artists.

ARTWORK: All artwork must be either 100% colored pencil OR predominantly (95%) colored pencil with other media. Artists may Not enter artwork that has been previously shown in any Southern Arts Society competitions. There is no theme for entries.

EXHIBIT DATES: January 8 thru February 8, 2019.

DELIVERY DATES: Artists may deliver artwork to Southern Arts Society (SASi) Friday January 4 from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday January 5 from 10 am to 4 pm.

ENTRY FEE: There is no entry fee for members of SASi, entry fee for non-members is $25 for two pieces and $10 for each additional piece.

AWARDS: This show is not juried. There are no awards. Entry fee is non-refundable.

SALES: SASi retains 30% Commission from sales by Members, and 40% from sales by Non-members.

Time: SASi member-artists can deliver their artwork and fine crafts at the times listed above. Other times by appointment.

Set-up information: Space availability is on a first come, first serve basis. SASi has 8 foot tables to share or you can bring your own. Artists are responsible for labeling their work and setting up their displays. Jewel Reavis will be glad to help you with labels if needed.

Note: You Must be a current member to sell your work. Entry Forms and Membership Forms are available here or at SASi. SASi takes 30% commission.
