Fun with Florals – Demo and Pastel Workshop with Anne Strutz
FREE Demonstration 10 am to 12 noon – Doors open at 9:30 AM for coffee and sweets. Come meet Anne and watch her painting with pastels in person.

- Time: Afternoon worshop 1 – 4 pm
- Cost: SASi member $45 per student, Non-member $55
- Supplies to bring: Pastels, Sanded and/or printmaking paper (12×18 or larger), Easel, Backing Board, Sketch book
- Ages: 16 and up
- Skill level: Beginner to Advanced (prior experience with mixing colors and basic knowledge of painting)
- Lunch: Bring your own – or order out
- Class Description: Come out for the day and have some fun learning techniques on how to infuse energy into your paintings! Drawing, color theory, and mark making are some of the concepts that will be touched on. In the morning Anne will demonstrate. The afternoon will be spent experimenting with some of the techniques that were shown during the demonstration. Flowers, photographs and miscellaneous supplies will be provided for you to work with. If you have never used soft pastel before this is a fun way to introduce yourself to the medium!

About the artist
Anne Strutz is an award winning artist and graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design BFA. She has just returned from demonstrating at the 2019 International Association of Pastel Societies Convention in Albuquerque N.M.
