The Joy of Color Strength in Paintings with Anne Harkness

Paint: White, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Viridian
Mineral Spirits in a useable sealed container
Tools: brushes and at least 2 regular sized palette knives, 2 sturdy paper plates, saran wrap
; Floor easel: (if you prefer), SASi has table top easels for you to use.
This class is recommended for oil and acrylic painters (watercolor painters are welcome, but will have to do some gleaning). The instructor will teach using oil paints.
Half Day Workshop Description: Color, design, and paint application are a few of the important ingredients that go into a strong painting. We will mix paint and create studies while in class. The concepts of color family, and mood, will be discussed. If you want to strengthen your paintings or just have an infusion of joy, pop in for this class.
