Little Free Lending Library ~ Take A Book ~ Return A Book

Location: Kings Mountain Art Center ~ 301 N. Piedmont Kings Mountain, NC (704) 739-5585

The Thursday Afternoon Book Club in Kings Mountain is 100 years old this year! Read about them in the July 2018 issue of Our State Magazine. They are using the Little Free Library project as one of their ways to celebrate and the Little Library will be located at the KM Art Depot.

The idea is that anyone can come by and borrow a book or leave a book for someone else to read. There is no charge or check out. It is on the honor system. The book club will supply the books. The Little Free Library, Ltd. is a national organization begun in 2009 as a program of the non-profit, tax-exempt organization Wisconsin Partners for Sustain Ability.

The reception and ribbon cutting was on the 28th of Feb., 2018. at 3:30 here at the depot. Ben Hubbard built the “caboose” shaped library and Camiel and Robert Bradshaw did the finish work. It is located in front of the Depot.
